I was browsing over at goseattleu.com when this image greeted me, layered over with an announcement of Seattle University’s men’s basketball schedule and season ticket information.

All I could do was laugh out loud and yell down the hall to The Spectator’s photo editor.

As the world becomes increasingly digitized and we’re all gradually being reduced to dots on a screen, we scramble to preserve the memories we make through digital photography, posting images of our friends goofing off on facebook mere minutes or hours after the event has happened. Tempted by the latest tech, it’s easy to assume that, when buying a new digital camera, more megapixels will offer a more accurate reproduction of reality. That, however, is absolutely incorrect. Get out of Best Buy, ignore the salesman. Trust me, you don’t need that electric blue 12 megapixel compact Ashton Kutcher and Nikon have been trying to sell you. The hour and a half comedy showcase generally holds a line up of six to 10 comedians, from amateurs to professionals. With a fun atmosphere and friendly people, the Comedy Underground offers a great way to spend a Sunday night.

I’ve included more photos I took of the show last Sunday after the jump. Read more…

Whether it be the bottomless pit, Facebook, the endless Twitter or everlasting YouTube, there always seems to be something to distract me from the important things in life-like academics and laundry. In my quest to avoid my pile of laundry, I discovered a new Web site that both intrigued me and revolted me. It is the epitome of what a true internet waste of time. The site, you ask?

This Is Why You’re Fat.

Churches of the World

I am fascinated by the buildings humans create for worship. Traveling has furthered my realization that all over the world, no matter what the religious practice, these buildings are held sacred.

Well, it’s been a beautiful weekend. I thought I’d take advantage of the visibility so I went up in the Space Needle to take this shot. The image is a HDR, meaning it was composed of more than one exposure blended together to create the impossible lighting. To check out some more in a series I’ve been working on with HDR’s check out my flickr.
