<ul>
<li><strong>Not so cute response: </strong>Police <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/links/2010/02/05/police-investigating-gay-bashing-on-capitol-hill">are investigating a gaybashing</a> that took place near campus at 11th Avenue and East Pine Street Saturday.</li>
<li><strong>Easier parking?</strong> It&#8217;s nearly impossible to drive down Broadway to go have dinner. So most of us walk. But <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/04/plan-for-broadway-paid-night-parking-cal-anderson-parking-changes-coming-soon">some changes by the city</a> may make it easier to find a spot.</li>
<li><strong>World-class cellist: </strong><a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/03/vermillion-cellist-plus-pictures-from-the-crowd">Lauri Goldston played</a> at Vermillion Wednesday.</li>
<li><strong>Dancing with the law:</strong> Ever dance on those metal dance steps along Broadway? We thought so.  A local photographer is in hot water over copyright issues with the public art, <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/03/broadway-sidewalk-dance-art-causing-another-legal-two-step">reports CHS</a>.</li>
<p><span id="more-6102"></span></p>
<li><strong>Partnering for the future of news: </strong>Just in case you missed it, CapitolHillSeattle.com and The Spectator <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/03/talented-young-people-chs-and-seattle-university-spectator-announce-collaboration">are partnering in news gathering</a>. <a href="http://www.su-spectator.com/opinion/looking-to-the-future-of-news-spectator-partners-with-chs-1.1111998">Here&#8217;s our editorial</a> on the partnership.</li>
<li><strong>Scooped!</strong> I pitched a story about Seattle Central culinary last year sometime (or maybe I meant to and didn&#8217;t). I had heard from some students that the food is delicious. CHS beat us to the punch with <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/03/secret-lunch-seattle-central-culinary-pastry-schools-offer-treats-on-the-cheap">this review</a>. If you get a chance, <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/03/secret-lunch-seattle-central-culinary-pastry-schools-offer-treats-on-the-cheap">head over to Square One Bistro</a> and give it a try.</li>
<li><strong>Starbucks in hot water? </strong><a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/02/02/starbucks-artists-show-wasnt-canceled-only-postponed-indefinitely">CHS broke the news</a> that a local artist was having some trouble getting her show hung in that fake Starbucks, Roy Street Coffee.</li>
<li><strong>A new horse in town: </strong>CHS writes about <a href="http://capitolhillseattle.com/2010/01/29/the-unicorns-friday-comes-early">Unicorn&#8217;s early opening</a>. Unicorn is replacing the (beloved by many at Seattle University) Satellite bar on East Pike Street. We&#8217;ve <a href="http://www.su-spectator.com/multimedia/unicorn-comes-crashing-to-capitol-hill-1.1112832">got photos here</a>.</li>
</ul>
