Microsoft supports gay-rights movement

According to the Associated Press, Microsoft has recently donated $100,000 to Washington Families Standing Together in an effort to support Referendum 71.

So far, the committee in favor of passing R-71  has raised approximately $780,000 with Microsoft’s donation being the largest they’ve received. Protect Marriage Washington, the committee against R-71, has raised approximately $60,000.

Microsoft isn’t the only large corporation in favor of additional gay rights. Other companies who go on the record supporting the movement are Nike, Vulcan and Boeing.
